Excursions.

For all excursions we recommend the use of the map IGN top25 3530 ET
It is advisable to seek advice from the guardians concerning your itinerary before setting out on your excursion.

Excursions of one day starting from the refuge:

• Tête des Lindars, (1h 30)
• Tête du Colonney, (2h 30), see photo
• Col de la Portette, (1h), see photo
• Les Grandes Platières,( 2h)
• Le tour du Désert, (2h 30 - 3h), see photo

Excursions over several days:

• Tour des Fiz: :
  List of refuges situated on the tour : Ref. du Chatelet, Ref. Moede anterne, Ref. Alfred Willis, Ref. des Fonts, Ref. de Sales, Ref. de Platé, Ref. de Varan It is up to you to select your itinerary based on the situation of the refuges! (4 or 5 days)
• Tour of Barmerousse :
  (1st day) Starting at Praz-coutant climbing to the Refuge de Platé ( 2h30 )
  (2° giorno) Passing over the col de Barmerousse (possibility of including the ascent of the Aiguille.deVaran) and descent to the Refuge de Varan then return to Praz-Coutant by the Charbonnière ( 5h )
• Tour of Dérochoir: :
  (1st day) Starting from Plaine Joux, passing over Dérochoir, Col de la Portette to arrive at the Refuge de Platé ( 5h-5h30 ) (5h-5h30)
  (2nd day) Ascension de la Tête du Colonney et retour à Plaine Joux par Charbonnière (5h30)
• Tour of Colonney :
  (1st day) Starting from Saint Martin (Chalets du Grand Arvet), climbing by the Refuge de Véran, to arrive at the Refuge de Platé (8h)
  (2nd day) climbing to the Tête du Colonney, and the Col de Barmerousse, To arrive at the Refuge de Varan
  (3rd day) return to Grand Arvet by Lachat ( 3h30 )
• Grand tour of Désert:
  (1st day) Leave from Sixt (parking du Lignon), climb to the Refuge de Sales, Col de la Portette to arrive at the Refuge de Platé. ( 5h30 )
  (2nd day) Grandes Platières, Tête pelouse, Combe des Foges, Refuge de Sales, then returning to the au parking du Lignon ( 5h30 )
